So, what’s your take? Do you agree with our hardest things to kill in video games? Are there more hard to kill enemies you’d like us to know about? Let us know over on our socials here. And seeing how long you can survive when everything is able to kill you instantly certainly makes for an afternoon well spent. Despite all the step-aways from tradition, Devil Daggers is pretty fun to play. Just a timer on top of the screen counting down the minutes till “game over,” and a health bar to remind you how quickly your health is deteriorating. There’s no story, either, to keep you distracted. The game is also set up on a flat open space, so there’s very little in the way of hiding spots or exploration. The monsters have the upper hand, with faster pace and deadly one-shot kill strikes. All of your time is spent chasing (and being chased by) monsters. Imagine, though, if everything you run into is trying to kill you. Also, fun fact, I learned the other day following the release of the Cuphead DLC, if you beat King Dice, you can get his soul contract something that wasnt even a thing beforehand, and in the good/canon ending after Cuphead and Mugman beat the Devil, they throw all the soul contracts in the fire, burning the deals each of the Inkwell Isle inha. It’s one thing to endure fighting one (or a pair) of bosses.
